Kathryn Tunacik Smith
Kathryn is a trial lawyer with years of experience representing individuals and corporations in jury trials. Kathryn excels at securing verdicts in favor of her clients. Her expertise spans insurance defense, products liability, construction, and commercial litigation. She also represents the family members in guardianship and conservatorship issues.
As the past president of the Utah Defense Lawyers Association and a member of the bar in Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming, Kathryn brings a wealth of experience and regional insight to her legal practice. Kathryn obtained her bachelor’s degree at Indiana University. She then pursued a dream of living in the mountains and moved to Utah permanently. Kathryn graduated from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah with high honors. She was a partner at the law firm Strong and Hanni in Salt Lake City for many years before joining Cohne Kinghorn in 2023.
