Timothy Bywater is a civil litigator with extensive experience in the areas of eminent domain, land use and zoning, Fair Housing Act, as well as constitutional and civil rights claims including police excessive force claims. Tim has also defended physicians, nurses, and hospitals in medical malpractice cases, and defends asbestos claims. He focuses on evaluating the issues early and strives to resolve litigation matters in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
Tim grew up on the great plains in northern Minnesota. He received his undergraduate degree and nursing and spent ten years as a critical care nurse before attending law school. He maintains his nursing license. He also worked several years for a successful medical software company. Prior to joining the firm, Tim worked as an assistant city attorney and was a shareholder at a well-established Salt Lake City firm.
