Lisa Petersen and Tim Bywater Join CK

Lisa Petersen and Tim Bywater recently joined CK as shareholders in the firm. Lisa is returning to the firm as a former partner (and first woman partner) of Parsons, Kinghorn, Harris. Lisa represents clients across the entire spectrum of employment law issues and related litigation. Widely recognized for her work in employment litigation, she has achieved an enviable record of success in all types of civil and commercial disputes. Among her honors and recognitions, Lisa is regularly named as a Leading Labor & Employment Lawyer, (Chambers USA, for 2017-2018), is listed in Best Lawyers in America (2016-2018), has been included as one of the Utah Legal Elite, in Labor and Employment law, (Utah Business Magazine from 2008-2018), and has been named a Top 50 Woman Lawyer by Mountain States Super Lawyers since 2013. Lisa’s experience includes a judicial clerkship with the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Tim is a civil litigator with extensive experience in the areas of eminent domain, land use and zoning, Fair Housing Act, as well as constitutional and civil rights claims including police excessive force claims. Tim has also defended physicians, nurses, and hospitals in medical malpractice cases, and defends asbestos claims. 

Lisa and Tim are proud alumni of the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah. They are exemplary lawyers, and even better people. CK is thrilled to have Lisa and Tim join the firm.
